Surprisingly I was able to sleep well after being so sore yesterday. The hotel packed a picnic breakfast for us which was a sandwich; white bread, ham and cheese, an apple, an orange and a couple of cookies. Today was a shorter walk to Calzadilla of about 10 miles, and mostly flat. The day started out in the fog.

Halfway to the town there was a food shack that was very busy as it was to be the only thing along the route. It was only 9:30, but I had a hotdog with mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, and dehydrated, onions. This is the only time I have seen condiments while in Spain, I couldn’t pass it up.

After seeing several of the other pilgrims we had met over the first 3 days we continued on to our stop.

Once we arrived here we hired a taxi to take us to Sahagun where I was able to get accommodations and Malcolm could get his train to Madrid tomorrow. We met a German woman that had injured her knee while her husband wanted to continue to walk. Since her stop was on the way, we provided her a ride with us.

Tomorrow it looks like I will need to taxi back to Sahagun for a room.
